Bradley Walsh’s daughter Hayley, 39, revealed back in February that she was expecting and has since given birth to a boy
Bradley Walsh has spoken about becoming a grandfather for the first time.
The Chase host’s daughter Hayley Walsh, 39, revealed in February she was expecting, and she has since given birth to a baby boy.
Bradley said: “I am a grandfather! My daughter and her husband Tom have had a baby boy, who is coming up for five months old.
“It’s been tricky as during lockdown no one could get to see their grandchildren. Thank God for FaceTime – it has kept people in touch.”
Bradley joked he plans to ply his grandchild with fizzy drinks and sweet treats before handing him back to Hayley, who he has from a previous relationship.
He said: “I’m going to be a brilliant grandfather because I’ve got this trick. When the baby grows into a toddler, make sure you spend plenty of time with them, feeding them ice cream and Coca-Cola, and then give them back at just the right time and say to your children, ‘There you are, that’s what you were like.’ “
Bradley has been married to his wife Donna Derby – with whom he shares a son, his The Larkins co-star Barney Walsh, 23, – since 1997, and the couple are planning a huge bash for their silver wedding anniversary next year.
Speaking to Saga magazine, he added: “We’ll celebrate big time. I don’t know what we’ll do yet.
