Universal Pictures has announced that the release date for The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been moved up by two days. The film was originally supposed to be released on Friday, April 7th, and it will now be released Wednesday, April 5th. There’s no reason given as to why, but, April 7th is Good Friday, so maybe that played a part in the decision to move the release date.
Also, Chris Pratt and Charlie Day, who voice Mario and Luigi in the film, poke fun at the backlash of their voices for the characters and showcase different voices.
The video features Pratt and Day with Mario and Luigi filters over their faces. Pratt then jokes about how everyone can’t wait to hear his Mario voice, before delivering a classic “It’s-a-me, Mario” in a very gruff, deep tone. Day then shared his Luigi voice, by not saying anything at all. He’s just mouthing words.
