A THRILLED wife found an Audi fob in a coat her hubby gave her for her birthday — but his “secret surprise” was just a bit of lost property.
Hannah McCabe, 32, thought her romantic fella had hidden the keys to her dream motor in the jacket pocket.

In fact the rose-gold fob belonged to a driver who’d left it there when returning the coat to online retailer Boohoo.
Heartbroken Hannah said: “My immediate thought was, ‘Has he surprised me?’
“I literally jumped for joy and even looked out the window to check if there was a new car.”
Her partner had bought the £60 coat for her 33rd birthday later this month but wanted to make sure it fitted before he wrapped it.
Keyworker Hannah said: “I tried it on and it fitted nicely. Then I felt something really cold in the right-hand pocket.
SECOND-HAND COAT
“I grabbed it and saw it was an Audi key. We’d been looking to get a new car but haven’t visited garages because of lockdown.
“I asked my husband if he’d bought me a car but, heartbreakingly, he said, ‘Of course I’ve not’.
“Then I realised they’d supplied me with a second-hand coat.”
Hannah, of Leicester, contacted Boohoo who asked her to return both items.
The key fob would have cost at least £250 to replace.

Hannah, mum to son Taylor, seven, added: “The least you expect when you buy online is that they’ve checked the pockets. I had to go out of my way to return them.”
Boohoo has offered her a full refund plus £10 voucher.
A spokeswoman said: “We process a large number of items every day and unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we don’t get it right all the time. We have apologised.”
