Timworks, a live-chat app, has announced the launch of “the only” client support app specifically for accountants and their clients. This new app is said to provide excellent client support for established accountancy firms, as well as smaller businesses.
According to data gathered by Bain and Company, a 5% increase in client retention can increase profits by 25%. However, Timworks states that despite the number of generic communication platforms available, making clients happy by building lasting relationships is “easier said than done”.
The app is said to give accountants a single platform to manage client conversations and create more valuable touchpoints with their clients, while the client gets to receive messages, and can collaborate “seamlessly” with their accountants and advisors.
The features included in Timworks are GDPR compliance, audit trail compliance, the ability to create chat channels to organise conversations around topics, integration with leading accounting and bookkeeping software, the ability to add multiple people to a conversation to reduce bottlenecks and miscommunications, as well as stored company numbers so clients can easily access them, and settings that protect sensitive financial data.
In addition, Timworks is said to connect clients with their accountant “casually and on an as-needed” basis, which the brand says can help accountants build meaningful relationships with their clients and find opportunities to add-on services. The app also saves time spent on administrative clutter by eliminating long-winded emails, lost attachments and the need to chase clients.
Timworks was founded in 2020 by CEO Ben Marcilhacy and CTO Harris Kontogiannis who have previously worked in companies including Google and Mastercard. The app has also been designed and developed entirely within the UK, and is currently available on iOS and Android.
Ben Marcilhacy, CEO of Timworks, said: “We created Timworks after experiencing firsthand how painful and difficult collaborating with our accountant was.
“We think that business owners need the advice and support of qualified professionals to help them manage their businesses finances now more than ever. We are building Timworks to help the client-accountant relationship unleash its full potential.”
