ANTONIO CONTE reckons yesterday’s meeting of Premier League managers was a ‘waste of time’.
Top-flight bosses met to discuss a range of pressing issues, including Covid, players’ welfare and fixture congestion.
But Conte was left less than impressed, suggesting the talks were like speaking into a brick wall.
The disgruntled Tottenham manager said: “Yesterday was a wall.
“A waste of time? I think so.
“When you have a wall in front of you, you can speak and ask what you want but the decisions had already been taken.”
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola had warned players could go on strike if Prem chiefs do not listen to their concerns about the Covid situation.
Conte admits he is worried about his team having to play two games in three days over the festive period.

The Spurs chief said: “It’s not easy for us, it’s not easy for all the teams.
“To play again after only one day’s rest is not simple.
“We will have to manage the situation because of the risk of injuries.
“We have had half the team with Covid. This does not go away in a couple of weeks.
“We have players still not 100 per cent fit.
“But we have to be ready and rotate the players to find a solution because we want to continue getting good results on the pitch.”
Tottenham will again be without the injured Cristian Romero and Ryan Sessegnon for their Boxing Day clash at home to Crystal Palace.
