There are undisputed champions in combat sport, and then there are Undisputed champions with a capital U.
Alexander Volkanovski is the latter.
The Aussie superstar utterly dominated ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung in the main event of UFC 273, who lived up to his nickname by fighting on far longer than any mortal man would or should have.

Volkanovski was essentially never troubled in his four-round win, providing a masterclass of both speed and striking.
“That is about as picture-perfect a round as it gets for Volkanovski,” UFC commentator Jon Anik said of the opener.
Anik described Volkanovski as having a “five-tool game” – baseball parlance for being great at everything.
After the Aussie landed a brutal combination midway through the second round, analyst Paul Felder said: “I don’t even know how he’s (Zombie) still on his feet right now.
“Volkanovski’s speed is better than we’ve ever seen, I believe.
“Beautiful timing on every shot. Right on the jaw. We talked about his well-rounded-ness, it’s on full display as the champion here tonight.”
“His ability to keep a tremendous pace – the footwork, the pace and the speed, is better than we’ve ever seen before, and he was already one of the best champions in the game,” commentator Joe Rogan said after the second round.
Zombie was in such poor condition after a brutal ending of the third round that, coming into the fourth, Volkanovski asked: “You sure?”
It was a moment of mercy for the man he would soon finish, with referee Herb Dean correctly stepping in after another shot from Volkanovski rocked Zombie.
The 33-year-old Aussie is now 24-1 for his MMA career, his only loss coming in Australia against a crane operator back in 2013. He has won 21 consecutive fights.
