UHY Hacker Young has unveiled its “ambitious” expansion plans for next year, confirming it plans to grow its audit team in the Manchester office by 15% to 20%.
It comes as the Manchester practice has taken on “new and larger” audit clients over the past year, which the firm said has driven a need for additional qualified auditors as well as those still undergoing their training contract.
It added that career progression is “critical to the success” of UHY Hacker Young’s audit team, adding that a “structured” career path would be in place from a new starter through to partnership.
The firm’s network currently consists of over 90 partners and 500 staff members in 19 locations across the country, which it plans to expand.
Mark Robertson, managing partner at UHY Hacker Young Manchester, said: “Winning a number of major new clients means that we now need to add to our audit practice here in Manchester, which is an exciting step for all of us.”
“It’s good to be part of a firm that’s contributing to economic growth in our city at a time of real challenges for businesses. We are also happy to be making our contribution to UHY Hacker Young’s overall group expansion plan.”
