Vas Group has announced the promotion of Daniel Owen-Parr to managing director of its audit arm, Vas Audit.
Owen-Parr will be tasked with pushing the business to the “next level”, while simultaneously continuing his role as commercial director across Vas Group’s other divisions.
After 18 years’ of experience in the property finance and banking industry, including a stint as senior bank manager at LLoyds Bank, Owen-Parr joined Vas Group in November 2019.
He said: “I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to shape the direction of Vas Audit and ultimately spread the word about how it can help both lenders and valuers protect their businesses and ultimately assist brokers and their clients, in other words complete more deals.”
Specialising in valuation auditing and assurance services for the short and long term financial sectors, Vas Audit has been operating for five years.
Stephen Todd, co-founded of Vas Group, said: “Valuation auditing is of critical importance to lenders and valuers, and we have clearly demonstrated the importance of the service by helping protect our clients by identifying risks and errors contained within valuation reports. This can be real-time or retrospective.
“It plays a major role in lender’s understanding and evaluating the risks associated with new loans and their existing loan book at any given time, especially given the volatility we have seen over the last 12 months.”
He added that the group provides an “essential service for every well run business”, that helps firms make plans on “solid foundations”.
