63 people got their Pfizer first doses
VICTORIA, Texas—The Victoria County Public Health Department hosted a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Thursday.
Texas military was running the clinic at the Dr. Pattie Dodson Public Health Center. Health department director David Gonzales told me they had 63 people get the Pfizer vaccine today. It was the first time the county had offered the Pfizer vaccine. Gonzales said the reason for this clinic was for parents to bring in their kids for their first dose before school starts. Gonzales told me the health department will host a first and second dose clinic on August 5. It could be a drive-through since early voting for the City Council election may be happening then.
