Smoothie shop staff were blown away by a customer’s act of kindness.
Kelly Amar, whose family runs Miami Squeeze in Florida, received a 2,814% tip from a punter.
After paying $71.84 for juices, they left $2,021 (around £1,500) gratuity to those who served them alongside a note wishing them a happy New Year.
They were so stunned by gesture they returned to the customer and asked if they meant to leave $20 instead.
Kelly told 7News : “It was a regular customer who comes in once or twice a week, and this was nothing we were expecting. When we first got the bill, we thought it was $20.21…
“We went back to her and asked, ‘Are you sure?’ and she said, ‘Yes, of course, I’m so grateful for you guys and I want to give back… I want to start the new year out right and give this to you guys.’”

Miami Squeeze also commented about the kind gesture on Instagram.
A spokesperson told the juice bar’s 3,000 followers: “We are just a small local juice bar and restaurant located on West Dixie in North Miami Beach.
“We can’t even begin to express how thankful and humble we are for our amazing customers who have kept us in business.
“Even though we are just a small juice bar we really pride ourselves in taking care of our guest, we’re not just in the food business we’re in the people business.
“We want to provide great food but even greater service.
“We always strive to make sure that everyone has a memorable experience here with us.”
The post adds: “Last year was a tough year for everyone so we’re so grateful to be able to start this new year like this.
“We always push for excellence because we don’t want you to see us as just an ordinary restaurant.
“At Miami Squeeze we want you to see us as part of your family, the Squeeze Family.
“We are so blessed to have guest like these, who go above and beyond to support our small local business.
“This means so much to us and we couldn’t say thank you enough. Wishing everyone a happy prosperous and healthy new year!”
The post has garnered more than 500 likes – and many praised the customer for the gesture.
One Instagram user gushed: “Amazing! There is amazing kind people in the world that believe so much in your small business.
“I love coming here! I hope to one day repay it forward.”
Another said: “This is amazing! You guys deserved it truly.”
And a third added: “Way to go! So nice.”
