Daniel Ricciardo gears up for his English season at McLaren. Lining up beside Lando Norris, they are one of the most favored duos for 2021. The Australian spent two summers with the French and gifted them with a handful of memories this season. Now he will try his luck with the Woking-based outfit.
Daniel Ricciardo presently enjoys his holidays after a tight season in 2020. With 17 rounds packed with three triple headers, a break is necessary. Before he again takes on the 23 rounds championship in 2021, he would want to clear his head.
Earlier, Daniel had his holidays in New Zealand at one time. At times, he even flew back home to Perth. However, back at Renault, Ricciardo decided his holiday to be at Phoenix US this time. He is enjoying his trip to the west country and his leisure sport at Phoenix is basketball.

Daniel Ricciardo- A mentor for Norris
Daniel Ricciardo had been sensational in 2020. Although he and Renault started off on the wrong foot, they soon picked pace. The engineers and the pilots quickly picked up the behaviour of the car. They even chalked out better strategies. As a result, P5 was a good hint to a better season in 2021.
Back at the McLaren base, team principal Zak Brown is excited to have Daniel finally join his team. The switch that could have happened two years earlier is now finally reaching fruition. Zak is so overwhelmed with Ricciardo’s presence that he can’t wait to work with him.
Daniel Ricciardo also seems excited about his future with McLaren. Although looking at his car for the last time at Abu Dhabi, Daniel will feel the pangs seeing Alonso in it next season. However, with such a loving team and co-pilot at McLaren, he will soon have moved on and ahead of his French feelings.
Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo have always got along well with each other. Now, with Daniel’s form credited to his two podiums from this season, he will get along very well with the improving form of Lando Norris.
