WEST Yorkshire will be placed under the toughest lockdown restrictions from Monday, after local leaders demanded extra help to tackle the virus.
The region, including Leeds, Huddersfield, and Bradford, will move into Tier Three – meaning pubs and bars will be closed with a ban on overnight stays outside of the home.
Changes will come into effect from the beginning of next week, it has been announced.
This means that under the new lockdown restrictions, restaurants and “food-based” pubs can remain open and you’re allowed to order an alcoholic drink as long as it is with a “substantial meal”.
Casinos, bookmakers and gyms are also shut under Tier Three.
