The trailer for Venom 2 dropped on May 5 and with all the gruesome scenes from the video, fans want to know what the age rating is. Read on to find out information about the film and where to watch!
Venom was a hit with the viewers in 2018, with an 81% audience score, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Fans have been anticipating the sequel trailer for a while, especially since the film was postponed from October 2020.
If Venom 2 is anything like the first, then it’s going to be slightly gory. I mean, the name is Venom: Let There Be Carnage. so there might be more violence and blood.

What age rating is Venom 2?
There has been no official age rating yet. On the official Venom site, it says “Not yet rated” so we will have to check closer to September.
The first film was rated PG-13 in the US and 15 in the UK, so it will likely be the same especially after Birds of Prey flopped.
According to We Got This Covered, Venom 2 was initially planning for a R rated film, but after Birds of Prey failed to perform, Sony were hesitant in carrying on with the gruesome imagery.
As an R rated movie, Birds of Prey grossed $201.9million but needed $250-300 million to break even.
Looks like the ultimate battle of Venom vs Carnage will have to wait!
