Another day, another reasonably questionable TikTok trend. This one involves food, and everyone on the app is scrambling to give this trend a go.
Watermelon and mustard seems like a strange food combination, and is perhaps a mix of flavours that not many people have tried before.
But now, everyone is rushing to squirt some yellow sauce onto fruit because TikTok told them to. And while we are a bit confused, we don’t make up the rules.
Even Lizzo has gotten in on the action, and fans can’t get enough of the hilarious video.
TikTokers try Watermelon with Yellow Mustard
After a video by TikTok user @yayayayummy went viral, Lizzo couldn’t help but hop on the trend and give the strange food combination a try.
In the original video, @yayayayummy tells fans to “grab yourself a juicy watermelon, cut that baby up, get yourself some French’s Yellow Mustard, pour that sucker on… and cheers!”
Lizzo stitched the TikTok and began her video by telling fans: “Welcome to ‘is it bussin’ or is it disgusting?’”
The “Good As Hell” singer poured Heinz Honey Mustard onto her watermelon slices before tasting it. Lizzo seemed confused by the combo, stating: “I don’t understand.”
However, she gave it another go and applied more mustard before summing up her feelings about it with a “Huh?”
