Grammys 2022 appearance explored
As always, BTS did not hesitate to interact with their fans as they walked the red carpet for the event. The band members also took time to interact with the interviewers while also posing for photos.
Fans were happy to see them on screen but some of them could not help but notice that Jin had been hiding his hand throughout the red carpet appearance.
In fact, even during his video interview, Jin decided to keep his hand behind to cover up. Meanwhile, another angle of the camera showed that the singer still had a wrap on his hand.
What happened to Jin’s hand?
The wrap is due to the surgery that Jin had to undergo in March 2022. The news was confirmed by the Big Hit Entertainment on Weverse.
As per Billboard, the company noted: “We would like to provide you with some information regarding BTS member Jin’s finger injury. Jin injured his left index finger during his daily activities and visited the emergency room at a hospital nearby for examination and treatment on Friday, March 18. He consulted doctors and was told he required surgery as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor in his left index finger on the afternoon of Friday, March 18.”

How is he doing now?
While Jin still has the wrap on his hand, he has been doing better. Since surgeries take time to heal, it is most likely that the singer may have to wear the wrap for some more time.
Big Hit had provided an update on his surgery as they mentioned: “The surgery went well according to the doctors, Jin was discharged from the hospital on the morning of Saturday, March 19 and has been resting. He will wear a cast for the time being for stabilization and a speedy recovery.”
They continued: “Jin will focus on rest and treatment to fully recover from the injury and to resume his activities in good health. We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Jin, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists.”
