Big Hit Music recently announced that BTS’s vocalist Kim Taehyung, also known by his stage name V, has tested positive for Covid 19.
The South Korean singer and songwriter visited the hospital in the afternoon of Tuesday, 15th February after experiencing mild symptoms and a PCR test result later proved that V had contracted the virus.
Supporters now pray for the boy band member’s speedy recovery and the K-Pop group’s agency states that the artists’ health is their top priority.

What happened to Kim Taehyung?
On 15th February, South Korean entertainment company Big Hit Music released a statement providing fans with information regarding the health of BTS’s vocalist Kim Taehyung.
Taehyung had experienced symptoms including mild fever and a sore throat when the artist visited the hospital and took a PCR test.
Positive results then returned and V is now undergoing treatment at home while waiting on further guidelines from the health care authorities.
Big Hit Music stated that the singer had “completed two rounds of Covid 19 vaccinations and is not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat.”
Twitter fans send Covid support
Fans communicated their sadness and support via social media, with many begging for the virus to leave and praying for V’s speedy recovery.
Another Twitter fan named @tete_7bts acknowledged that “Covid has reached many of our loved ones and it hurts.”
Encouraging people to stay safe, they stated that “Taehyung is strong and will overcome this.”

BTS fan club member @BorahaePh7 tweeted that the news of the singer testing positive breaks their heart and added:
“Our sweetest Taehyung, please get well soon. ARMY loves you so much.”
BTS’s V aims for a speedy recovery
Big Hit Music’s statement concluded: “The company places the artists’ health as our top priority and we will do everything we can to aid V in his speedy recovery.”
The label will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities.
In terms of the rest of the boy band, the company notified that while there “was contact with the other members on Saturday the 12th,” everyone was wearing a mask and were not in close contact:
“None of the BTS members other than V are presenting any symptoms, and everyone received negative results from the preemptive self-tests.”
