Nico Rosberg is just one of two drivers to have beaten Lewis Hamilton as a teammate across an entire Formula One season.
The first was Jenson Button at McLaren in 2011 as Hamilton suffered an off-season for the first time.
Five years later, Rosberg would become, to date, the only teammate to beat Hamilton to a world championship in Abu Dhabi.
The German pipped Hamilton by five points, and a few days after taking Hamilton’s title promptly retired from F1.
Since then, he was become involved in sustainability work, including attending the recent COP26 climate conference in Glasgow.
Rosberg also runs Rosberg X Racing in the Extreme E series, winning the inaugural championship on 19th December.

Rosberg, the 2005 GP2 champion made his F1 debut at the 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix for Williams, posting fastest lap of the race.
In 2010, he moved to the returning Mercedes team, partnering Michael Schumacher.
He won his first race at the 2012 Chinese Grand Prix, before Hamilton joined his old karting friend in ’13.
Mercedes aced the new turbo hybrid engine rules in 2014, propelling the two to world title contention.
Hamilton won out in 2014 and 2015, before Rosberg won his sole crown in 2016.

During his racing career, and subsequent entrepreneurial career, Rosberg has racked up a net worth of around $50 million.
That’s about £37.7 million GBP at current exchange rates.
Hamilton’s net worth is about £215 million GBP.
Who is Rosberg’s wife, Vivian?
During his F1 career, Rosberg started 206 grands prix, winning 23 of them.
His final win came at the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix, where he had taken by over Hamilton by just 0.013s.
He later attributed this to giving up cycling in the summer break, and losing leg muscle.
Rosberg also talked about the selfishness he needed to display in 2016, citing his young family as an example.
He described how he did not get up in the night to attend to his new-born daughter, as wife Vivian took on responsibility as he chased the world title.
In winning the title, he said he was not prepared to put his family through it again, and quit.
He and Vivian, an interior designer, married in July 2014 – the week before Rosberg won his home grand prix at the Nurburgring.
They have two daughters, Alaia and Naila, born in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
