He signed a 10-year deal worth $101.5 million taking him up to 2010.
Favre left Lambeau in 2008 for stints at the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings.
It was at the Vikings he received his single-highest yearly salary – with $12 million in basic pay alone.
In total, his estimated career earnings just from football alone are around $137 million.
That, coupled with his extensive sponsorship portfolio mean Brett Favre’s current net worth in 2022 is believed to be around $100 million.
What’s he up to these days?
After leaving Green Bay, and allowing one A.Rodgers to take over the QB slot and the final swansong with the Jets and Vikings, Favre retired in 2010.
As a QB, Favre took a lot of heavy hits, often playing on with concussion.
This, in part ended his career against the Bears in December 2010 after a heavy knock.
In 2016, he was enrolled in the Pro Football Hall of Fame – and his #4 jersey at the Packers was retired.
Since then, Favre has dabbled briefly in broadcasting, including for Super Bowl XLVII in 2012.
However, he opted not to follow a career in broadcasting.
Other than maintaining his sponsor links, Favre now enjoys his retirement with wife Deanna – who he married in 1996.
