When is Megan McCain’s last day on The View?
A couple of weeks ago, Megan confirmed that she would be leaving the show. The television host will make her final appearance on Friday, August 6. It is also the day when season 24 of the show comes to an end.
Since Megan had announced her departure weeks before the show’s finale, it does not come as a surprise that she decided to stay until the end of the current season. However, it seems highly unlikely for her to make any guest appearances on the show in the future.
Why is the television host leaving?
Megan is leaving the show because she relocated to Washington D.C., and wants to spend time with her family. At present The View is shot in Manhattan.
Speaking about her relocation, Megan told her viewers: “We have this incredible life here. We’re surrounded by my family, his family, friends, this incredible support unit. I think as any new mom knows, when I think about where I want Liberty to have her first steps and first words, I just have this really wonderful life here that I felt like ultimately I didn’t want to leave.”
Megan went on to thank her co-stars, she said: “This show is one of the hands-down, greatest, most exhilarating, wonderful privileges of my entire life. I’ve had so many amazing experiences in my life and this is definitely one of the top.
“It is a privilege to work alongside such strong, brilliant, intelligent, incredible broadcasters like the four of you. You are the most talented women on all of television hands-down. It has been so incredible to be able to do this with you.”
