Tayler Holder discussed his past relationship with influencer Sommer Ray on podcast “BFFs with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.”
Following Sommer’s appearance on Mom’s Basement, where she mentioned that Tayler messaged her new boyfriend following their split, Tayler attempted to clear things up.
During the podcast, Tayler states that the boyfriend in question was Jack Gilinsky, and that he did message him because of “bro code,” given that the two boys were friends.
He also said that he felt it was “crazy” that it had been a year since him and Sommer’s split and that she “still talks” about him despite their relationship only lasting three months.

Tayler Holder confirms messaging Jack Gilinsky following Sommer Ray split
Whilst appearing on an episode of BFFS with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, Tayler Holder discussed his previous relationship with Sommer Ray.
He described their relationship as “lowkey super toxic” and stated that she broke up with him “literally every week.”
Sommer appeared on Mom’s Basement podcast the week before, where she dished up the dirt on Tayler, and told fans that he messaged her new boyfriend after they broke up. Sommer did not disclose the identity of the boy in question.
Tayler, however, was more than happy to share details and said:
“She didn’t want to say the name of who her ex was but I’ll say it, it was Jack Gilinsky. She was dating Jack Gilinsky or whatever they were, I don’t really give a f**k.”
He continued to explain that the situation upset him because he knew Jack Gillinsky well.
Tayler said: “At the time, Jack Gilinsky was my really close homie… he was there while I was going through my break up with Sommer and I was venting to him.”
Tayler explained that he found out about the situation because “a video got leaked on TikTok Room of him and her.”
He confirmed that he did, in fact, message Jack to ask what was going on but was ghosted. Tayler sent a follow up message, but Jack “never responded.”
When did Jack Gilinsky and Sommer Ray date?
A video of Sommer Ray and Jack Gilinsky together at a party was leaked online in August 2020.
In September of the same year, Sommer was stopped by paparazzi on her way to dinner with friends and was asked about her relationship with Jack.
In the video, one of the paparazzi can be heard asking Sommer: “There’s been a lot of talk that you’re dating Jack Gilinsky right now, is that true?”
Sommer did not reply, and instead laughed nervously before her friend intervened and they walked away into the restaurant.
Sommer has not confirmed any relationship with Jack Gilinsky, but Tayler claimed that he saw them “on Bryce’s (Hall) bed together” at a party hosted at Bryce’s house.
