TikTok is full of different songs and sounds that are used across all sorts of videos, dances, trends and challenges.
People on the app drag up random iconic sounds from all sorts of places. Films, commercials, kid’s TV shows. You name it, you can find a TikTok sound from it.
After going viral and taking over the platform, the sound then becomes old, boring and annoying, and TikTok users move onto the next catchy tune.
Recently, everyone’s FYPs have been filled with the “berries and cream” tune, which you probably recognise, but where does it come from? Here’s a full explanation.

Where is the ultra-catchy ‘Berries and Cream’ TikTok song from?
The Berries and Cream TikTok song is actually from a Starburst advert. Yes, the sweets!
In the famous commercial, two men are at a train station tucking into some Starburst when a man, who looks like he’s from the middle ages, gets overly excited about berries and cream and proceeds to sing a song and do a funny dance.
The dancing man is actor and writer Jack Ferver, who actually now has his own TikTok account @thereallittlelad where he has 1.2 million followers and makes comedic skits.
If “berries and cream, berries and cream, I’m a little lad who loves berries and cream” has been stuck in your head, you finally now know where it comes from.
When did the commercial come out?
The “berries and cream” commercial actually came out 14 years ago in 2007!
In 2007, Starburst released its berries and cream flavour, which is what the commercial was advertising.
Starburst actually spelled the flavour “berries and creme”, and it sadly doesn’t appear to be available anymore.
