It’s been over a year since we were last able to get our hands on Taco Bells’ Mexican Pizza but, like a Christmas miracle, the fan-favourite is reportedly set to make a return.
It’s the menu item that we’ve all been waiting for, but when can we expect to see it make a comeback? Here’s what we know.

Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza is set to return
Taco Bell’s Mexcian Pizza, for one reason or another, was taken off the menu back in 2020. Since, fans have desperately urged the fast-food chain to bring it back… and Taco Bell are listening.
Rumours of a possible comeback have been swirling online for the best part of the year, and then LIVING MORE reported that the news is, in fact, true.
Mike Grams, Vice President and COO at Taco Bell, reportedly confirmed: “We’re bringing back the Mexican Pizza!”
If you’re yet to try Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza, the menu item involves seasoned ground beef and refried beans sandwiched between two crisp “pizza shell” tostadas. The pizza shells are then covered with diced tomatoes, a three-cheese blend, and a pizza sauce. Delicious!

When can you expect to see the menu item make a return?
We’re all keen to get our hands on Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza once again, but when can we expect to see it return?
Well, according to LIVING MORE, the menu item will be available in the May – June 2022 timeframe.
It looks as though the pizza was supposed to be back on the menu earlier but, for one reason or another, had to be pushed back.
We’ll be waiting patiently.
Fast-food fans react to comeback news
It’s a good time to be a foodie. Upon hearing news of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza return, fans of the franchise have taken to Twitter to celebrate.
One person tweeted: “Is the Mexican Pizza really coming back??? Don’t play with me @tacobell“
Another wrote: “I think 2022 will be a great year !! They are bringing Mexican pizza back at @tacobell !!!!!!!!!!!”
Somebody else took to Twitter: “is anyone else jumping with joy because @tacobell is bringing back the mexican pizza”
