There’s only one place in the UK where Disney fans can now get their hands on one of the theme parks’ most popular treats.
Dole Whip – a soft serve frozen treat – has been exclusively available at a select few stands at Walt Disney World and Disneyland since 1986.
But now people in the UK can also get a taste of the dairy-free and vegan pineapple dessert.
Chester Zoo, in Cheshire, has become the first tourist attraction in the country to sell the coveted Dole Whip, 2Chill reports.
The cult-favourite frozen dessert was first introduced in 1984 by Dole Food Company, originally pineapple flavoured.
Today, it’s also available in other delicious flavours including cherry, raspberry and lime.
Few Disney snacks are as iconic as the icy Dole Whip, and now Chester Zoo is serving up both the pineapple and raspberry flavours.
And much like Disney, Chester Zoo has only made the sweet treat available at a handful of kiosks – District Office on Islands and the Arara Kiosk by Spirit of the Jaguar.
Head of Food and Beverage at Chester Zoo, Simon Lockhart, said: “Dole Whip holds a special place in lots of our visitor’s hearts, which is why we decided to become the first attraction in the country to sell this popular frozen treat.
“It’s a great addition to a fantastic day out at Chester Zoo, especially to help cool off during the summer months.”
