Christmas every year sees the return of The Nutcracker Ballet productions across the US and the UK. Here’s how you can grab a ticket for the show.

The Nutcracker is one of the most delightful Christmas ballet shows to enjoy with your family. Created by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1892, the two-ballet act has mesmerized viewers for years now.

The plot of the ethereal play sees the journey of Clara and her Nutcracker to the Land of Sweets on Christmas Eve.

Where to buy The Nutcracker Ballet tickets

As many may already know, there are several productions of The Nutcracker Ballet.

Some of the most iconic renditions come from the New York City Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet and the London Ballet.

George Balanchine’s rendition of the show is being staged in New York from November 26, 2021, to January 2, 2022. The ticket prices range between $195 to $300.

Tickets for the Los Angeles Ballet show range from $39 to $114.

The Nutcracker Ballet, which is a two-hour-long show, will be staged at London’s Royal Opera House until January 2, 2022. The ticket prices range between £43–£135.

What is the show about?

The plot of the show follows Clara, a young girl who is given a Nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve. As midnight strikes, she creeps downstairs from her bedroom to see the magical adventure awaiting her and her Nutcracker doll.

Magician Drosselmeyer transforms her drawing-room into a battlefield where the mice and toy soldiers are fighting. Clara saves her Nutcracker’s life in the battle which breaks the spell transforming him from a toy to a boy.

Clara and the Nutcracker then head to the Kingdom of Sweets and meet the Sugar Plum Fairy who helps them partake in more wonderful adventures.
