Kamala Harris is facing scrutiny for appearing in a space-themed NASA video in the midst of Biden’s administration facing major issues.
The video, produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment, features child actors with the aim to interest the younger generation in space.

What is the Kamala Harris NASA video?
Part of the YouTube series titled ‘Get Curious with Vice President Harris’, the purpose of the video is to prompt children to take an interest in space.
The video included a cameo by NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough from the International Space Station.
Harris, who serves as chair of the National Space Council, promoted a positive message through the video, but has still been facing scrutiny.
Tim Murtaugh, the former Trump 2020 communications director, tweeted: “The company producing Kamala Harris’ video featuring professional child actors, which is called *Sinking Ship Entertainment”…is based in Canada.”

Who are Sinking Ship Entertainment?
Toronto-based company Sinking Ship Entertainment are behind the production of Harris’ space video, according to Fox News.
Founded in 2004, the company has been named as the number one Kids’ Entertainment Production Company on Kidscreen’s Hot50 list in 2020, according to their website.
Sinking Ship Entertainment’s website also states that the company has won a total of “24 Daytime Emmy® awards and was named the Most Innovative Producer at the 2021 Banff World Media Festival.”

Who are the child actors in the NASA video?
You might be surprised to find out that the children in the space video are actually acting professionals.
In talks with KSBW, one child actor, Trevor Bernardino, said that the initial audition process for the video was to send in a monologue talking about something he’s passionate about.
Bernardino then had to reportedly interview the director of the video before booking the job.
The 13-year-old shared: “Then after that, like a week later my agent called me and was like ‘Hey Trevor, you booked it’.”
Derrick Brooks II, Emily Kim Zhoriel Tapo, and Sydney Schmooke were the other child actors to star in the video, according to The Sun.
