Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin has turned on the former president insulting him during a QAnon conference in Las Vegas.
After years of support for Donald Trump, Couy voiced his opinion on what he believes to be Trump’s biggest failure.
Who is Couy Griffin?
Couy Griffin was once a loyal and devoted supporter of the former president but has now turned against Trump after his lack of support for those involved in the attack at Capitol that occurred in January.
Despite partaking in the riots at Capitol where Trump supporters tried to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory, Griffin remains the County Commissioner in New Mexico.
In 2019, Griffin founded Cowboys for Trump and rode horses with his group of fellow Republicans into Washington to support the former president.

Couy Griffin turns on Donald Trump
Couy Griffin was an avid supporter of the former president for several years but spoke of his disappointment about Trump’s failure to support those who were arrested in connection to the attack that took place on January 6th.
During his appearance at the For God and Country Patriot Double Down conference, Griffin blasted the former president for his failure to carry out his 2016 election promise to imprison Hilary Clinton.
He remarked: “We supported President Trump because of his fight for justice as well, and for four years we cried ‘Lock her up. Lock her up. Lock her up.’ What did the president tell us? ‘If I was in charge of the law, you’d [Clinton] be in jail.’ OK, Mr President, you were in charge of the law for four years. At the end of your four-year time, the only ones that were locked up were men like me, and others like me, that have stood by the president the strongest.”
Has Couy Griffin been charged for the riots at Capitol?
In his speech at the QAnon conference, Griffin speaks of “men like me” where he refers to supporters of the former president who broke into Capitol and rioted on January 6th.
Griffin was arrested for his part in the audacious attempts to overturn the 2020 US presidential election. He currently stands accused of disorderly conduct and unlawful entry onto the Capitol grounds though he is yet to be charged. However, the Republican has pled not guilty and claims his persecution is due to his political beliefs.
