Britney Spears’ lawyer has filed a request in the court which asks for CPA Jason Rubin to replace her father James Spears in conservatorship.
As per the court documents, the request was made by Britney’s lawyer because of the singer. If Jason is chosen as James’ replacement, the CPA will be handling all of Oops I did it again singer’s estate. This news comes days after it was reported that Britney had been granted permission to choose her own lawyer.

As per Jason’s LinkedIn, he attended California State University in Northridge. There, he graduated with a Bachelors’s in accounting. Following this, Jason has had plenty of job roles on his resume.
His first job role was as a Senior Litigation Services Consultant at Kellogg & Andelson. Following this, Jason went on to gain his experience by taking up different opportunities over the years.
At present, Jason is the President of Certified Strategies, Inc. Previously, he was the co-Leader of Forensic Financial and Accounting Services at Munger Tolles & Olson LLP.
His profile also notes that Jason has experience with matters involving “securities litigation, criminal, real estate, intellectual property, bankruptcy, fiduciary and trust litigation, family law, employment law, insured reimbursement of claimed losses and other general civil complex litigation.”
Summing up his job role, Jason writes that he is a “certified public accountant, accredited business valuator, certified in financial forensics, expert witness testimony, fraud investigations, licensed professional fiduciary for complex trusts and estates.”

Singer’s lawyer calls conservatorship a “nightmare”
In the court documents, Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart stated that the relationship between the singer and her father had become “toxic.”
He said: “For more than thirteen years, Petitioner Britney Jean Spears has endured a conservatorship that, certainly as it concerns James P. Spears, has grown increasingly toxic and is simply no longer tenable. In addition to stripping his daughter of her dignity, autonomy, and certain fundamental liberties — Mr. Spears is also guilty of misfeasance or malfeasance warranting the imposition of surcharges, damages, or other legal action against him.”
When is Britney Spears’ next court hearing?
Britney’s next court hearing is set to take place on September 29. The singer had been fighting her case for years and in mid-July, Britney had a victory when Judge Brenda Penny granted her permission to choose her own lawyer.
