Pasha Bleasdell was a model known for appearing in music videos in the early 2000s. She was dubbed a “video vixen,” which is a title given to women who starred in a lot of hip hop music videos at the time. Many video vixens were models, singers, or actors.
Arguably the most famous video Pasha was in is Hot in Herreby Nelly. The song was Nelly’s first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and it peaked at number four in the UK. Essentially, it was a smash hit, and is still played today. Most recently, it was featured in the new Netflix movie Senior Yearstarring Rebel Wilson.

Pasha tragically passed away at the age of 38 from a brain tumour, according to Director X. He described her as “genuine and cool” and spoke about his experience working with her on sets and the “wild ride” they went on together.
Her appearances in music videos made Pasha a fashion icon, with girls all over the world taking style tips from her.

Director X posted on Instagram announcing the news of Pasha’s death. He stated that “if you made videos in 2000’s or were around to watch them you know Pasha.”
He explained how he met Pasha doing background work on the set of Donnell Jones’ Where I Want to Be. “From there, we put her in the mix,” Director X wrote.
The post continued to read: “I’ve put her in a million videos and spent just as much time hanging out. She was always genuine and cool. Never brought drama to set of life. You never know when the last time you speak to some one will be the last time you speak. I hold on to my memories of you with love. Rest in Power Pasha January 24th 1984 – June 4th 2022.”
