33-year-old Peter Zurkhulen is the husband of actor, Tommy Dorfman.
Zurkhulen keeps his personal life pretty under-wraps, but here’s what we know:
Reportedly, Peter studied at The Calhoun Academy in South Carolina before graduating on to Centre College, a liberal arts college in Kentucky. Then, in 2013, Zurkhulen earned a certificate in Food Services Management from the International Culinary Center in New York.
Later in life, Peter went on to explore new ventures. First becoming a real estate agent, Dorfman’s husband moved on to found the tech company ChipChop Systems. Reports also state that Peter is Chief of Staff at Get Help. This explains his hefty net worth of an estimated $1.5 million, as of 2021.
Tommy Dorfman announces pronoun change
Taking to Instagram, actor Tommy Dorfman wrote: “thrilled to reintroduce myself as the woman i am today. my pronouns are she/her.”
“i’m especially grateful to every single trans person who walked this path, broke down barriers, and risked their lives to live authentically and radically as themselves before me. thank you to all the trans woman that showed me who i am, how to live, celebrate myself, and take up space in this world.”
Prior, Tommy had used they/them pronouns from 2017 and identified as non-binary, before announcing that she is a trans woman.
In talks with TIME, Dorfman disclosed: “For a year now, I have been privately identifying and living as a woman—a trans woman… coming out is always viewed as this grand reveal, but I was never not out. Today is about clarity: I am a trans woman. My pronouns are she/her.”

The pair ‘redefine’ their relationship
After reportedly meeting at a party hosted by a mutual friend, a relationship blossomed between the two, resulting in an engagement in 2015.
The couple tied the knot in 2016, and now, they’re redefining their relationship with one another.
In an interview with TIME, Dorfman spoke out: “The types of romantic partnerships I seek out are different. I was in a nine-year relationship in which I was thought of as a more male-bodied person, with a gay man.”
She continued: “So, we’ve had incredible conversations to redefine our relationship as friends.”
