New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde returned with a brand new single in 2021, releasing the music video of ‘Solar Power’ on Thursday, June 10th.
One of the artists that feature on the new single is American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.

Lorde releases ‘Solar Power’
The New Zealand singer-songwriter released the single and music video of ‘Solar Power’ on Thursday, June 10th, 2021.
The single was co-written and co-produced by Jack Antonoff, lead singer of the indie band Bleachers and a frequent collaborator with musicians like Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Troye Sivan and more.
According to Stereogum, Phoebe is one of the artists (alongside Clairo) who features as back-up vocals on the single.
The publication adds that this is the first time Lorde has worked with Phoebe.

Lorde’s ‘Solar Power’: Who is Phoebe Bridgers?
Phoebe, 26, is an American singer-songwriter and producer from Los Angeles.
Born and raised in Pasadena, she attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, and briefly studied Berklee College of Music before dropping out.
In January 2017, Phoebe dropped the single ‘Smoke Signals’ followed by her first studio album ‘Stranger in the Alps’ in the same year. She released her second studio album ‘Punisher’ in 2020.
‘Punisher’ got Phoebe four Grammy Award nominations, including for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best Alternative Music Album’.
In December last year, the singer released the music video to ‘Savior Complex’, which was directed by Fleabag‘s creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and stars Irish actor Paul Mescal.
