Friends and colleagues from the NFL Network have paid poignant tributes to Tara Deeker who died after a cancer battle.
Her friends have shared fond memories on social media and many have described her as their “favourite” person.
Tara Deeker has passed away
Tara Deeker died in early September following a cancer battle.
Rich Eisen remembered Tara in an episode on the Rich Eisen Show, saying: “She had a mothering sense about her, she had a friend sense about her. She had nothing but love in her veins, beating in her chest. Beautiful person on this planet, lovely person whose inner light is now going to shine in heaven down upon on all of us forever.”
Rich said that he saw her at the Super Bowl when she explained that she was doing “better”. He added that he and other colleagues were praying for her scans to come clean but sadly her latest one didn’t.
“Let’s all say a prayer and keep her in our family and our hearts today,” Rich said.

Who was Tara Deeker?
Tara Deeker was a production coordinator at NFL Network.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she graduated with a BA degree in Communications from Drury University and landed a marketing assistant role at Paramount Pictures. She was later promoted to Marketing Coordinator.
Tara worked for several other companies such as Interscope Records and RPA during her career.
She joined the NFL Network in September 2011.
People pay tributes to Tara
Many people, who have known Tara through work, took to Twitter and paid their respects.
Dan Hanzus wrote: “Our NFL Media family lost another really special person. Tara Deeker was sweet and kind and generous and funny and loved being around people. She deserved better and the world will be noticeably less fun without her.”
Michael Del Tufo said: “We all have limited time on this place called earth. We lost one of those people that knew how to make the best of that time. Tara Deeker “Deeks” for those that knew her, my co-worker from my NFL Network days you will be missed. You always put others ahead of yourself.”
“Anyone who’s worked at NFL Network knows that Tara Deeker was a constant beacon of positivity in that office,” Nick Edmonds added. “She was never not making someone smile or laugh. It was contagious. My heart goes out to her friends and family.”
