A WOMAN has admitted that she’s been calling her husband by his nickname for three years because his real name is too difficult to pronounce.
TikTok user @maybebrea shared a video asking for her followers help pronouncing his Swedish name, Ragnar.
In the video, she explains: “I’ve been calling my husband baby for the last three years because I don’t know how to pronounce his Swedish name (true story.)”
She then attempts to pronounce Ragnar several times before asking her followers, “Seriously how do I pronounce his name before he sees this??”
The video has since got more than two million likes and thousands of comments from her followers left in hysterics over her confusion.
According to Nameberry the name Ragnar is a boy’s name of Norse origin meaning “warrior or judgment”.
The site revealed that the name is pronounced differently in Denmark and Norway than it is in Sweden where it has a “softer” pronunciation.
Many of @maybebrea’s followers suggested she get her husband to film a video explaining how to pronounce his name.
Luckily, he did exactly that.
Speaking in the follow up clip, he says: “Here in Scandinavia we would say Ragnar (pronounced like Rag-naar.)
“If you’re in Finland it would be something like Rakknar, as a kid I had a nickname Ragge.”
In other relationship news, this woman sent a man ‘sex survey’ to rate how good she was in bed… but she probably doesn’t want the results.
And this woman caught her boyfriend cheating after seeing Ring doorbell recording of him all over another woman in the street.
Plus this woman claimed her in-laws hate her – they all wore black funeral dresses to our wedding like they were mourning her husband.
