EQUIPMENT NOTES:
- Kupcho claimed her first LPGA Tour win in major fashion, and three years after she won the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur during the same week. Kupcho signed with PING immeditately after turning pro and carries a full bag of the brand’s equipment, including two different hybrid models. Like many pros in their fairway woods, Kupcho’s use of two different models likely helps her with exact carry distances and ball flight windows. The two models fitted with the same shaft model in slightly different weights.
- The 24-year-old, like many players on all Tours, opts for the G425 driver and has remained faithful to the i210 irons that have been extremely popular with Tour players and amateurs alike. Offering forgiveness mixed with workability, the i210 irons are the model of choice for players like Viktor Hovland and were released in mid-2018. Kupcho carrying the matching pitching wedge and utiIity wedge from her iron set, with only two speciality wedges in the bag.

Throughout the week, the 2021 Solheim Cup representative relied on her putter to at one time look on track to break the tournament scoring record. Kupcho uses a PLD model from PING, the latest release in the company’s historic putter lineage are precisely milled and currently offered in four models at retail. Kupcho’s Kushin one of the specially made models for Tour players by PING.

The former Wake Forest star’s win is the sixth from seven events on the LPGA Tour for Titleist golf balls.
QUOTE: “I think it’s surreal. To be a major winner is really special, and to be the last person here at Mission Hills to jump into Poppie’s Pond, it’s all really special.” – Jennifer Kupcho.
