EQUIPMENT NOTES:
- Ko has changed plenty of elements since her days as the number one player in the game, including coaches, caddies and equipment after signing with PXG early in the equipment manufacturer’s existence. Her LOTTE Championship win, the second with PXG, including a full bag of the brand’s clubs.
- Using the third generation of PXG’s players 0311 P irons, Ko was clinical with her ball striking all week, and most notably over the final two rounds where she missed just three greens in regulation. Fitted with Aerotech shafts that blend graphite and steel shaft properties, Ko’s irons offer more forgiveness than the T model that is more popular on the PGA Tour, blended with control and feel.
-
The 23-year-old averaged just 27 putts for the week at the LOTTE Championship, Ko using a centre shaft PXG putter not currently available at retail. A large mallet head, the Thunderbolt C went in her bag in late 2020.
- Ko’s victory is the fifth from six events on the LPGA Tour this year for Titleist’s Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls.
