A woman has showed off her body hair in a display of confidence as she told people that she would only shave for two reasons.
Ariana went viral online after posting a video on TikTok showing her bikini in a trendy emerald green colour as viewers noticed her body hair around the stomach.
One commented asked: “You decide to shave everywhere but there?”
She then made another clip to explain in detail and revealed her body hair in close-up.
“TikTok camera hides the details. I literally have hair everywhere due to hirsutism. I shave wherever I desire,” the 18-year-old said.
“Hair on certain places can be uncomfortable for me and that’s where I remove.”
Many people praised her for her body positivity, with one saying: “I mean, it’s just hair right? So where’s the problem?”
“I’m not sure why choosing to keep body hair bothers other women, it’s natural” a second wrote.
One asked Ariana how she managed to keep her bikini line so “smooth” and she gave tips, saying: “I only shave when it is necessary.
“Stop shaving every day, it’s no reason. Exfoliate, moisturise, do all that but don’t shave every day.”
Her comments come after another body positive influencer also stopped shaving her body hair and wore bikini in public to show off her natural hair to help normalise body hair on women.
Camille Alexander performed the stunt in a London underground, ignoring people’s prying eyes when she was dancing on the platform.
Megan Jayne Crabbe, 28, from Essex, documented her journey of promoting self-love, explaining why she decided to grow her body hair out after struggling with anorexia as a teenager and binge eating disorder.
“I realised I’d never once in my entire life (since she started growing) just let her exist?” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“She grows out of my body and I’ve never even met her properly?”
