A woman who underwent cosmetic surgery on her nose has shared gruesome pictures of her face online after the tip of her nose blackened and rotted away.
Gao Liu, a Chinse actress and singer, said she was hospitalised for two months after she underwent nose plastic surgery at a clinic that is allegedly not authorised to perform the procedure.
She said the operation left her with nasal necrosis, which means the tip of her nose died, leaving rotten flesh in its place.
The 24-year-old star who has been in multiple Chinese films and TV programmes spoke out about her ordeal on messaging platform Weibo.

In the post, Gao said she had believed the four-hour operation was going to be a “micro-adjustment” which used cartilage from her body to reshape her nose.
She said: “I didn’t expect these four hours to be the beginning of a nightmare.”
The procedure left her bruised and bandaged, and as her nose began to blacken, she went back for a followup procedure.
Gao said the final operation left her nose feeling “irritated and tingly,” before it became repeatedly infected.
She also said she was promised to be able to return to work within two months, but as a result of the necrosis the actress had to cancel work commitments.
The star said she is now facing losing an additional two million yuan (£225,621) for breaking the contracts she had signed.

Gao will now have to wait up to a year to have a possible reconstructive surgery and is planning to seek compensation from the clinic, which she did not name.
Her post quickly went viral and garnered thousands of comments from sympathetic social media users who called for tighter regulation in China.
One wrote: “The hospital must be held responsible and severely punished! I’m so heart-broken for Gao Liu. People need to take this as a warning, cosmetic surgery has its risks!”
A second sad: “You used to be so gorgeous, why do you need to go through this? A lesson learned.”
