Rosie, a Golden Retriever mix who was dumped and nearly nine months pregnant, was taken in by the Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue. Shelter heads Katie and John Black began addressing her immediate needs once she arrived.

The staff had previously cared for a lot of pregnant dogs, but when Rosie had puppies, it was clear that she would be an exceptional case since her four healthful Pups looked nothing like she did.
