Valentine’s Day is the most romantic day of the year and thousands of Brits will dress up to dine at a fancy restaurant or to sip cocktails in a bar.
It’s a great night all round for extroverts who get a buzz of of busy days out.
However, many of us would much rather be sat at home tucking into a cheesy pizza, watching a film and getting cosy.
But, did you know that the toppings you choose for this Italian dish actually say a lot about your type? We know, who’d have thought it.
Those Brits who drool over blondes are more likely to opt for pepperoni on their pizza while fans of fiery redheads choose meat feasts.
The correlation was discovered in a poll of 2,000 adults who were asked what they find attractive in a partner and their favourite pizza order.
And, some remarkable links were made between hair colour and pizza choice, reports the Mirror.
It seems that those who fancy blondes like Taylor Swift or Ryan Reynolds opt for pepperoni pizzas when given the choice.
While meat feast fans get butterflies for redheads like Emma Stone or Rupert Grint.
And, Brits who fancy people with black hair, like Nina Dobrev or Idris Elba, often top their pizza with tuna!
The study, commissioned by Domino’s, which is offering a special Valentine’s Day only deal, found 55% of those asked would choose to chow down on pizza on at least one of their first three dates.
While a fifth are planning to enjoy the Italian dish this Valentine’s Day.
Dom Juan, “Pizza-in-Chief” at Domino’s, said: “Our research proves there’s a strong link between dough and dating.
“But anyone searching for true love knows how tricky those first few dates can be, so we’ve done the hard work for you.
“All you now need is to ask them the one delicious, doughy question… what’s your favourite pizza?
“Let’s be honest, pizza is, and always will, be love at first slice.”
The study found out that six in ten people think the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach, and 55% claimed a shared love of food is something they look for in their other half.
For one in ten, finding someone who is specifically a fan of pizza is so important that they’ve mentioned the iconic food on their online dating profile.Wow!
