MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang suspended for 12 months the mayor and vice mayor of Urdaneta City after they were found administratively liable for grave misconduct and grave abuse of authority.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed on January 3 the order, a copy of which was released on January 7, suspending Mayor Julio Parayno III and Vice Mayor Jimmy Parayno from office for six months for each offense, or a total of 12 months.
