MANILA, Philippines — The government temporarily banned the importation of poultry from Brazil amid the rise in cases of bird flu there, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said on Monday.
In a briefing in Malacañang, Laurel said this is to ensure the protection of the local poultry industry.
