One of Britain’s biggest auditors has ditched a London-listed gold producer over its deep ties to Russia.

Accounting giant Deloitte resigned from auditing work for Polymetal given that the majority of its assets and operations are in Russia.

The news came after Deloitte last month said it would sever ties with its Russian and Belarusian clients over the invasion of Ukraine.

Polymetal yesterday said it has begun looking for a new auditor.
