As some of the bestselling earbuds in the world, Apple’s AirPods and AirPods Pro are guaranteed to be on many holiday wish lists. Though discounts on AirPod models have been offered throughout the year, we’re expecting some of the best deals yet on Black Friday 2020.
In fact, several retailers are already offering early discounts on various AirPod models right now, and bigger deals are coming soon. We’ll update this page as more are announced.
If you’re looking for discounts on other Apple products, here are the best
Black Friday
deals on MacBooks and Apple Watches. And if you’re not a hardcore Apple fan, here are other great Black Friday tech deals.
Some early discounts are available on Apple’s AirPods right now, but buyers should keep in mind that better deals are expected when Black Friday officially launches.
Right now, the AirPods Pro are on sale for an all-time low of $169.99 at Amazon, albeit with 1 to 2 month shipping delays. The standard AirPods with wired charging case or wireless charging case are both available for modest discounts as well, but we anticipate lower prices on Black Friday.
Meanwhile, those willing to expand their horizons beyond Apple’s core AirPods lineup, can find a good deal on the Beats PowerBeats Pro true wireless earbuds right now at Target. The Beats brand is owned by Apple, and the PowerBeats Pro are a worthy alternative to AirPods.
The Apple AirPods Pro look and sound better than previous-generation AirPods, plus they have noise cancellation built right into them and integrate perfectly with other Apple devices.
Apple’s AirPods with wireless charging case have a clever design that makes them very comfortable, and the pleasant sound quality will surprise many. However, they don’t isolate the wearer from the outside world. The current $150 sale price is pretty good, but the lowest price we’ve seen so far is $140.
Select colors of the Powerbeats Pro headphones are on sale.
Black Friday 2020 kicks off on November 27. But, while some stores are waiting until that date to launch their best deals, several retailers are already offering early Black Friday discounts on a variety of products.
Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target are all continuing to roll out early deals. After Black Friday, additional deals will be added on Cyber Monday 2020, which falls on November 30.
Though there are already some decent discounts available on AirPod models, we think it’s likely that bigger deals are coming on Black Friday and
Cyber Monday
.
Specific Black Friday deals for the standard AirPods with wired or wireless charging cases haven’t been announced yet, but their current deal prices don’t match their all-time best. With that in mind, it’s possible that retailers will discount those models even more on November 27.
To match the lowest price we’ve ever seen, the AirPods with wired charging case will need to dip down to $99 or less. Meanwhile, the lowest price we’ve seen the AirPods with wireless charging case sell for is $140.
We’ll keep an eye on AirPod deals as Black Friday approaches and update this page with all the latest discounts.
What’s the difference between the AirPods and AirPods Pro?
Apple’s AirPods lineup consists of two primary models: the standard AirPods and AirPods Pro. The standard AirPods are available with either a wired charging case or a wireless charging case, while the AirPods Pro are only available with a wireless charging case.
The standard AirPods feature a stem-like design with a universal fit. Under the hood, the earbuds are powered by Apple’s H1 chip. Battery life is rated for up to five hours of playback on one charge, and the charging case can net about 24 hours of extra power.
Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro step things up with a more advanced design and set of features. Unlike the standard AirPods, the AirPods Pro include active noise cancellation. They also feature shorter stems, IPX4 sweat and water resistance, and three silicone tips for a more customizable fit. Battery life is rated for around five hours with active noise cancellation off, or 4.5 hours with active noise cancellation on. The charging case can also add around 24 hours of extra juice.
