Bunnings to close all its store across Greater Sydney to customers and not just in hotspot LGAs
- All Bunnings stores across Greater Sydney to close as a result of new Covid rules
- Click-and-collect remains possible under the new rules announced this morning
Bunnings has announced it will close all its store across Greater Sydney to customers, including stores outside LGAs of concern.
The decision came following the announcement this morning by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian of strict new lockdown rules.
Retailers such as Bunnings and Officeworks will only be able to offer click-and-collect from stores in 12 local government areas of concern as a result of the new rules.
The popular hardware retailer has gone further, closing all its stores in Greater Sydney to reduce movement of people between LGAs.
‘This is in support of the government and for the safety and security of team members, customers and the community,’ said Mike Schneider, Bunnings manager director.
