We are under contract for a house which was listed for sale by owner with no room for realtors and this foundation crack is listed on the inspection report. This is my first time dealing with an inspection. My inspector says this is major and I should claim 10-15k in repairs. Friend says inspectors always blow up things to save themselves from future claims and it is not major or too concerning but we can certainly ask for couple grand in repairs. cracked foundation image here
Not sure who to believe but it does scare me to think about foundation cracks and the future resale of the property down the line. Trying to get more perspective. Please advise, thank you!
