CRISTIANO RONALDO has reportedly AGREED a staggering transfer to Man City.
It is claimed that the Portugal captain could arrive back in Manchester in hours, if the clubs can agree which player will join Juventus in exchange.
City are reported to have offered Raheem Sterling while Juventus have asked for Gabriel Jesus.
One man City will not be signing is Harry Kane, who has declared his loyalty to Tottenham and is now said to be hoping for a new £400,000-a-week deal.
Should he stay at Spurs for the long haul, one man who will be joining him is Pape Sarr, who has completed a medical with the North London club but will remain at Metz on loan this season.
And Chelsea are set to come in with a new bid of around £51m for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Jurgen Klopp has had his say on the prospect of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to the Premier League.
And while he is excited to see CR7 in action, he is certain Manchester City are viewing the forward as a short-term option, given his age.
He said: “Cristiano Ronaldo to Man City? I watch that like a football supporter actually. Let’s see what happens.
“If other clubs can do things for this, it’s not a business for the future – it is for now and immediately – some clubs work like that.”

NOT FOR SALE
Everton manager Rafael Benitez has ruled out selling striker Richarlison during the transfer window despite links with PSG.
In his pre-Brighton press conference he said: “Obviously we have some players that clubs know are good players.
“This speculation is something you (the media) have to do, but us coaches have to focus on what we have, we have an important game against Brighton and we have to be ready.
“We are not considering selling him (Richarlison). He is our player he is really happy and hopefully this year he can score a lot of goals for us.”

HAA TO GET HIM
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Erling Haaland to replace Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
The French side are believed to have contacted Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola over the possibility of a move as they prepare for Mbappe’s exit.
According to The Telegraph, PSG are considering making a last-minute swoop for the Borussia Dortmund striker in the coming days.
Rumours suggest a deal will be difficult at this late stage in the window and negotiations between PSG and Dortmund are yet to begin.
PSG are reportedly putting together a shortlist of potential replacements for Mbappe as Real continue their pursuit of the Frenchman.
Everton star Richarlison is thought to be one of those names on that list – and it now appears Haaland is another.

‘LIFE GOES ON’
Cristiano Ronaldo has requested to leave Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed, amid interest from Manchester City.
Juventus coach Allegri addressed the media on Friday, shortly after the player waved goodbye to his team-mates.
The Italian insisted that he is not upset with Ronaldo, having already dropped him from his line-up for last weekend’s opening game.
He stated: “Yesterday Cristiano told me that he has no intention of continuing at Juventus.
“This is why he will not be called up tomorrow, he did not train yesterday and now we can talk about Empoli. That is the most important thing. I am absolutely not disappointed.”

Atalanta are eyeing up Callum Hudson-Odoi as they’re struggling to sign former Chelsea youth team player Jeremie Boga.

“I want to thank Tony Khan, and of course the owner and everyone at the club, for making me feel at home and showing how much they believe in me and how much they love me here, so I’m really happy.”

It’s also claimed that players have been asking Joao Cancelo what Ronaldo is like in training.

STERLING MOVE?
Manchester City could offload Raheem Sterling to fund the move for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The England star was also linked with a possible move to Tottenham as part of a potential deal to bring Harry Kane to Eastlands.
Such an exchange deal with Juventus is unlikely given their desire for an out and out striker, but Sterling could potentially move elsewhere.

‘BIG FUTURE’
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has tipped defender Liam Scales to be a big success at Parkhead after his transfer was confirmed today.
The 23-year-old will join Celtic after Shamrock Rovers missed out on a place in the Europa League group stage following defeat by Flora Tallinn on Thursday night.
Celtic say Scales will sign a four-year contract.
Postecoglu said: “Liam is a young player who has impressed us and is someone who we think has the potential to have a big future at Celtic.
“He is an athletic defender who has the ability to play in a number of positions.
“As I have said before, everyone at the club has been working hard to add depth and quality to our squad and in signing Liam I think again we have made good progress. We all look forward to welcoming Liam to Celtic and to start working with him.”

Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici met with Kane on August 9 – three days before his PCR test that allowed him back into full training – and offered him a significant pay-rise.
But at that point in time, the England captain was waiting for defending Premier League champions Manchester City to make their official move.
And the bumper contract was swiftly turned down.

‘I’D STAY’
Jamie Vardy has declared that he would reject hypothetical offers from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal in order to remain with the Foxes until the end of his career.
A number of top sides have been linked with moves for Vardy over the course of his career, but he has remained loyal to Leicester despite the temptation of Champions League football and a big-money contract.
It appears as though he will continue to show no hesitation in sticking by the club that took a chance on his ability until his playing days are over.
Appearing on the new series of Sky panel show A League Of Their Own, Vardy was asked by comedian Jimmy Carr if he would consider a move to one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs to round off an exceptional career.
The former England striker kept his answer short, sweet and to the point, replying with: “No. I’d stay there [at Leicester] until the end.”

Liverpool have made an opening move for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to the Daily Express.
Brighton want around £40 million for the Mali midfielder, but are under less pressure to sell during this transfer window after already unloading defender Ben White to Arsenal for £50 million.
Klopp though faces competition for Bissouma from Manchester United and Arsenal, who have also been tracking the powerful 24-year-old.
Bissouma has become a key part of Albion manager Graham Potter’s team since arriving on a five year contract from Lille in 2018 in a £15m deal.

WOLVES ARE ADAMA-NT
Tottenham’s Hotspur’s bid to sign Adama Traoré has suffered a blow with Wolverhampton Wanderers standing firm in their desire to keep the winger, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Spurs have targeted Traoré after accelerating talks this week and had hoped to structure a loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
Wolves immediately rejected an initial proposal of a loan deal that included a £5million loan fee and are adamant they do not want to sell the Spain international this summer.
Traoré is viewed as a key player under new head coach Bruno Lage and integral to their future. Negotiations over a new contract will advance when the transfer window closes.

MOR BLIMEY
Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Barcelona wonderkid Ilaix Moriba, according to reports.
After rejecting Barca’s offer of a new four-year deal in June, Moriba has found himself ostracised from the club’s first-team set-up.
The 18-year-old was not invited to return for pre-season in July, and even the club’s second team have refused to use the talented starlet so far this season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, this has led to Spurs swooping in.
The Catalan paper report that Moriba, who has previously been linked with Chelsea, was in London over the weekend negotiating with Spurs.
