Who was the Delta flight attendant?
The Delta flight attendant captured in the viral video is a man named Christopher Williams.
It doesn’t look as though Christopher can be found on social media or LinkedIn. The Delta flight attendant has been dubbed a hero after zip-tying the man.
But, Christopher doesn’t look to have responded to the huge outpouring of praise on social media.
One person Tweeted: “True hero in the skies. Christopher Williams, a flight attendant for Delta, stops a passenger from entering the cockpit. FAs are there to protect the passengers and plane, not just to serve drinks!“
Another said: “As a retired Flight Attendant from Contintal/United Airlines,I comaned his professionalism and leadership that was taught and trained to us during Flight Attendant training for six weeks before becoming a Flight Attendant! Much love and respect to you my brother!“
What happened to the alleged hijacker?
Thankfully, due to the flight crews swift response to the alleged hijacker, nothing bad happened on the flight.
The plane had to emergency land in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The man’s identity hasn’t been revealed and he was taken into custody upon landing in Albuquerque. Following the emergency landing, the Albuquerque FBI posted to Twitter that there was “no threat to the public”.
