Having a McDonald’s drive-thru is perfect if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat on the road.
Sometimes you have to wait in the nearby bays for your order just so you don’t cause a queue behind you.
But while you might think the hold up is because your food’s not ready, that’s not always the case.
A TikTok fan has revealed all about her previous job while working as a McDonald’s staff member.
The user, known as Eliseeee69, posted a clip with the caption: “Because I don’t work at McDonald’s anymore, it’s time to spill the tea.”
She claimed some customers would wait longer for their food in a bay as punishment for being too rude, reports Mirror Online.

The TikToker said: “If you’re rude to us we will purposefully take ages to give you your food or park you up in a bay.”
So next time you’re at a drive-thru, it might pay to be polite to the staff who are in control of your McDonald’s order.
Meanwhile another former employee warned staff at the drive-thru can hear you when you don’t suspect it.
She said: “When you pull forward in the drive-thru we can already see you and hear you, even though we haven’t said hello.”
The woman added: “When we actually put you on pause because we are busy, we can still hear you – the amount of insults I heard.”
Another staff member chimed in: “As soon as you drive to the speaker, we get a beep over our headsets and the transmission begins.
“If we don’t answer you right away – we can hear everything.
“If we apologise and say we’ll be with you in a minute – you’re not on hold, we can hear everything.”
