A number of Final Fantasy names have announced a brand new RPG for PS5 and PS4, Astria Ascending, which will releases later this year.
Developed by Artisan Studios, the team paired up with Final Fantasy XII composer Hitoshi Sakimoto and Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy VII Remake writer Kazushige Nojima. Set in a world where chaos looms, players control eight different heroes called the Demigods. Each character possesses their own unique combat style and narrative. Mini-games and individual side quests are also spread out across the world.
Spread out across five cities and twenty-five dungeons, the team estimates that there could be up to thirty to fifty hours of gameplay to do everything in the game. The game was announced yesterday and you can watch a trailer below, alongside a behind-the-scenes video featuring both Nojima and Sakimoto:
