Trial could begin in early December 2021
VICTORIA, Texas – A former St. Joseph High School coach, Alvin Mumphord III, who was arrested on sex crime charges is set to have a hearing before a judge on September 30th at 9:00 a.m. according to the indictment.
Mumphord is accused of 22 counts of sex-related offenses with ten counts of indecency with a child, five counts of online solicitation of a minor involving sexual conduct and seven counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student.
It’s believed these offenses span from November 2004 to March of this year, according to the indictment.
Mumphord was arrested at a family home in Bloomington on Wednesday, September 1st around 3:00 p.m. by U.S. Marshals and booked into the Victoria County jail until he posted a 50 thousand dollar bond the following day and was released.
Mumphord could go to trial in early December 2021 but it is subjected to change.
