Gabourey Sidibe reveals she’s been secretly married for a YEAR

Gabourey Sidibe revealed she and Brandon Frankel secretly wed last year.

The news was shared by the 39-year-old actress – who posed with Brandon for Brides magazine in May – on Live With Kelly And Ryan on Monday, December 5.

Soon after, Brandon took to his Instagram to gush about his wife, adding that they’ve been married since March 2021.

Gabourey sat down with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest and revealed the news as she explained how much she hates weddings.

Ryan said to the actress, ‘Let’s talk about the wedding, are you planning a…’

Gabourey sighed and said: ‘So, the thing about weddings is I don’t like them… here’s an example of how much I don’t like weddings: I’m actually married.’

‘We got married over a year ago,’ to the shock of Kelly and Ryan.

The camera panned to Brandon in the audience as he held up his hand to show his wedding band.

Gabourey confused Kelly and Ryan when she mistakenly said ‘We’ve been married since 2001… 2002?’ she said turning to ask Brandon.

Ryan added he didn’t know what to believe as Kelly asked if it was breaking news.

‘Yeah, we got married at the kitchen table, it was just us…’ she said, before Ryan interjected for clarification on the year.

‘Wait, you’re confused. You’ve been married since 2002?’ he asked her.

‘No, 2001…’ Gabourey said before Kelly added ‘2021’ as Ryan looked confused.

‘We got engaged in 2020, we got married in 2021, like four months later,’ she added.

‘Wedding have panicked me up until this point, even more so now,’ Ryan joked.

‘I really don’t like weddings,’ Gabourey said.

‘We’ve been married over a year,’ the star added with a laugh.

‘Surprise! I can finally call her my wife publicly! Since @gabby3shabby finally spilled the beans today on Live with Kelly and Ryan – we’ve been married since March ’21!’ Brandon wrote on his Instagram page.

‘Relieved we can finally tell the world. So thankful to have found my forever person, my partner-in-crime, and the love of my life,’ he said.

‘Every day is the best day with you. Nobody I would rather raise cats with and be in bed by a smooth 8pm with. Love you forever.’
